| From coal dirt and rock where ATVs would spin out and make clouds of dust to beautiful green meadow in less than 3 months. How! First we contacted the land owner and got permission. Then the rail road donated used RR ties. Then Mr. Guarna volunteered his loader to move the ties and spread the compost that was donated by the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Habitat for Wildlife bought the seed with a grant procured with the help of Senator Gordner. Wasteland to a natural environment is that easy, all it takes are few dedicated people. | ||

| Mr. Ed Linkus donating his machinery, time and fuel to clear the RT901 entrance to the SEEDCO industrial park in Coal Township. With the site now clear we will wait a fee weeks until the invasive weeds sprout up again. Weakened now by being cut we will spray the site with a broad spectrum herbicide. Arrangements have been made with the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and compost will delivered this fall (2010). In the spring we will plant it with wildflower seed. | ||
